Our Board
As a Trust, we are governed by a Board of Directors and overseen by a Council of Governors, working together to ensure the Trust is safe, effective, well-led and accountable to the public we serve.
Our Board of Directors is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Trust and, with input from the Council of Governors, helps shape its future direction.
The Board monitors performance against national, regional and local objectives, and ensures the highest standards of care and service are maintained across our hospitals. While the Trust is led by the Board of Directors, they remain accountable to the Council of Governors. To learn more about the Board and view upcoming meeting dates, click here.
The Council of Governors includes 20 members elected by Trust members, alongside six staff governors, two public governors, and 11 governors nominated by our partner organisations. Public and staff governors are elected by their respective constituencies, while partner governors are appointed by their organisations.
